Watch your language

“…It’s a strange world of language in which skating on thin ice can get you into hot water…”

Franklin P. Jones

I got a lovely letter today from the organisers of the Monte Carlo Masters tennis tournament.  It was a beautifully written letter translated from French to English so there were many interesting phrases but it was the sign off that I found the most interesting…We thank you for your fidelity.

I wonder if an automated translator was used to produce this letter and more to the point when I have used such a translator what people have really been reading.  Message sent and message received and an automated translator in the middle equals take care.
